Auxiliary Nurse & Midwife (A.N.M.)
- Age Requirement:
- Minimum: 17 years (on or before 31st December of the admission year).
- Maximum: 35 years.
- Educational Qualification:
- 10+2 (including subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Philosophy) or Science, or Health Care Science - Vocational stream.
- Must pass from a recognized board.
- Open School students from the National Institute of Open School (NIOS) with Arts or Science are eligible.
- Other Requirements:
- Medical fitness is mandatory.
- Admission is conducted once a year.
General Nursing & Midwifery (G.N.M.)
- Educational Qualification:
- 10+2 with achieving a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
- Preference is given to Science stream students.
- Candidates from State Open Schools recognized by the State Government and NIOS recognized by the Central Government are eligible.
- Vocational A.N.M. course students with 40% marks are eligible.
- 10+2 in the Vocational Stream-Health Care Science with 40% marks from CBSE or a recognized board.
- Must be a registered A.N.M. with a pass mark.
B.Sc. (Nursing)
- Age Requirement:
- Minimum: 17 years (on or before 31st December of the admission year).
- Educational Qualification:
- 10+2 with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English (Core/Elective).
- Aggregate of 45% marks from a recognized board (AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or equivalent).
- Students from NIOS with 45% marks in Science are eligible.
- Other Requirements:
- Must be medically fit.
- Admission is conducted once a year.
Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing)
- Educational Qualification:
- Passed Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary/Intermediate/10+2 or equivalent examination recognized by the university.
- Candidates who completed 10+2 in or before 1986 are also eligible.
- Must have a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and be registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council.
- Male nurses trained before the new integrated course must provide evidence of training approved by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery in areas like O.T. Techniques, Ophthalmic Nursing, Leprosy Nursing, TB Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, etc.
M.Sc. (Nursing)
- Educational Qualification:
- Must be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with a State Nursing Registration Council.
- Should have passed B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Hons. Nursing, or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with at least 55% aggregate marks.
- Experience Requirement:
- Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
- Minimum one year of work experience before or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
- Other Note:
- Simultaneous attendance in other courses is not permitted.
